Thank you Debbie!

I know I speak for everyone when I say, thank you for sharing your life with us in such an intimate and compelling way. I feel lucky to have you for a friend and peer and know you will continue to touch peoples' lives in a positive way. I have no doubt that having confronted your personal demons in this public fashion, you will be a better mother for your family, a better friend to your friends and most importantly a better you for yourself. You have given us all hope and inspiration for the future; when we feel like things are less-than-perfect in our lives, we'll remember your story.

Petra Saves the Day! Hooray!

Little Petra Marie decided to find her big bear growl and somehow convinced Lee to let us do our research presentations in small groups and give everyone an hour or so to work on other pending assignments. I asked if we could do it this way last week and he told me no but Petra is more convincing than I am I guess. Way to go!

Joan, Wow!
Joan has always been wonderful but Friday she contributed to our class in such a meaningful and engaging way I walked around all weekend with my jaw on the floor. It really went above and beyond closure duties as they have come to be viewed. I was also struck by what a unique and inspiring skill Joan shared with us, not just her knowledge of her trade but her ability to synthesize our experiences in the context of spinning yarn. Amazing, Thanks a million Joan!
Here are some other cohort pics. ENJOY!

Flexibility in action, Thanks Jerry!

Now that's teamwork!

Holy Cow! Sean has just won the double dip prize!
Sean, being the gentleman that he is, brought some burgers, dogs, halibut and his awesome wife and invited us all for a BBQ. It was a delicious and wonderful event and all that didn't attend were greatly missed. The weather cooperated and great times were had by all. Thanks for encouraging the heart Sean, you truly inspire us all to do a little better. Also, Sean has been more than generous in taking folks out on his rented boat, you rule Sean!
P.S. 2 is the limit, so you can stop pandering to get on my blog.

A day for all to remember

Today's post has two parts. One part Joy, for taking the bull by the horns and making a personal goal to contribute to the class discussions. Awesome Joy! We were all waiting to hear your voice.
Part two, Joanne took the initiative and put our disjointed presentation rubric together for us, now that's leadership!
Day One!
